Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Embed, a speaking-first language-learning service operated by IDK Studios, Inc. By using Embed, you agree to them. You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding contract) to use the service.

The service

Embed walks you through pre-written, verified conversations you speak out loud, with pronunciation feedback. Your first scene is free; the rest of the course requires a subscription. We may improve, change, or add to the service over time.

Your account

You can start anonymously, then save your progress with an email link or a Google account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in secure.

Subscriptions, trial & billing

• Subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial that requires a card. We'll remind you before it ends.
• Unless you cancel during the trial, your plan begins and your card is charged on day 8: $19.99 / month or $119.99 / year (prices in USD).
• Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. There is one tier, annual and monthly unlock the same full course.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel any time from your account in one tap. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. The free trial is the no-risk way to decide before you're charged. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll make it right, consistent with applicable law.

Acceptable use

Please don't abuse the service, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape it, share or resell access, or use it to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

Content & ownership

The course, scenes, scripts, art, and audio, is our intellectual property, licensed to you for personal learning, not for redistribution. Your progress data is yours.

Disclaimers & liability

Embed is provided “as is.” We work hard to teach language that's correct and useful, but we can't guarantee any particular learning outcome or fluency. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date above; continuing to use Embed means you accept the updated terms.
